Through the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, the Federal Government of the Republic of Germany supports the implementation of the African Union Border Programme (AUBP) at the levels of the AU, African Regional Economic Communities (RECs), and AU Member States.
EAC Secretariat in collaboration with GIZ support to the African Union Border Programme (GIZ- AUBP) intends to secure services of a consultancy to develop the EAC e-Immigration Policy. The Overall objective of the consultancy is to support the initiatives of free and secured movement of persons, labour and services by developing an EAC e-Immigration Policy to among others implement e-immigration services, security of immigration data and sharing of information at regional and Partner States level.
The consultancy shall be executed within a period of 1 month, effective from 2nd April to 2nd May 2018.
Required Qualifications and Competences of the Consultant:
Must be a national of 1 of the EAC Partner States; Must hold at least a Master’s degree in Social/Political Science, Public International Law or other Immigration related disciplines with a bias in ICT Immigration; Must have at least 6 years’ experience in the field of immigration related research work; Must have experience in formulating national or regional policies in regard to Immigration matters;
